Lender & Bank Loan Modification Programs

Each major lender and bank has a specific mortgage loan modification program that they use when working with borrowers.  Before calling a lender, which is usually the first step in the process in starting a loan modification, borrowers may want to check out the loan modification assistance pages for the lenders provided below.

For lenders that are absent from this list, borrowers should call the number on their statement, and talk to the customer service rep who answers the phone.  Without having to transfer the borrower to the loss mitigation department, where the modification process begins, the rep should be able to direct the caller to where they can obtain information on their loan modification program, perhaps on their website or by emailing or mailing it directly to the caller.
